This course will encompass the entire process from beginning to end for obtaining the Utah Carry Permit, as well as the VA Non-Resident, and the VA Resident permit for any VA residents that don’t already have the VA permit. This will include completion of the applications for both Utah and Virginia, required course instruction, fingerprints and photos.
Unlike some courses, this course includes both the fingerprinting process and passport photos! No need to hassle with trying to take care of these items after the course; they will be completed during the course and it’s all included in the price. **This course does not include the State Application Fee for Utah or Virginia. You will leave the course with all paperwork completed to mail in the application and payment for each state. Utah & Virginia Permits are valid for 5 years before a renewal is needed.
Course subject will include: Firearm familiarization and nomenclature of the firearm, Utah Law, the reciprocal agreements that Utah and Virginia currently have within the United States, as well as interstate travel and pertinent travel laws.
Students must be 21 or over and bring the following: - Driver’s License (If you don’t have a Driver’s License you will need a valid State ID) - If Born outside of the Unites States please bring a copy of your Passport or Naturalization paperwork
Note: If you live in a state which has a reciprocity agreement with Utah or that issues a resident carry permit, you must have the resident carry permit prior to sending in your application to the state of Utah.

Meet Charlie Padula
Charlie Padula with Gun For Hire has retired from the Belleville Police Department after 30 years. During his career, he served in the Belleville Police Department Detective Bureau as Sergeant. Charlie also served as firearms instructor, training officer, evidence supervisor, and was attached to the Essex County Rapid Deployment Team. He was also the SWAT Team Administrative Officer as well as the Team Armorer. Charlie is now living in the free state of Pennsylvania. This NRA Training Counselor and Benefactor Member has been shooting and reloading since 1970. Shooting is not just his passion, it's his lifestyle.
